Job summary

Wilsons Auctions in Belfast is seeking a full-time Vehicle Inspector to inspect vehicles before auctions and report findings to vendors and customers. You will prepare vehicles for inspection, inspect prior to sale, and liaise with corporate clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. A full UK driving licence (3+ years) is essential, with training provided after a 6-month probation.

Job description

Wilsons Auctions is the largest independently owned auction house in the UK & Ireland. We currently have a requirement for a full time Vehicle Inspector in our Belfast branch.

Duties will include but not be restricted to the following:

• Preparing vehicles for inspection
• Inspecting vehicles prior auction
• Reporting on a daily basis to vendors and customers
• Dealing with corporate clients and customers

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Good interpersonal skills
• Good attention to detail
• Confident use of IT systems
• Be able to work individually and also part of a team
• Hard working and reliable
• A flexible attitude to working hours
• Good working knowledge of vehicles preferably in bodywork
• Have held a Full UK Driving Licence for 3 years or more

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge of vehicle inspection process / body shop & mechanical experience

On completion of a successful 6 months probationary period the successful applicant with receive full NAMA training

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm (30 min lunch)
