Job summary

Transport for London is seeking an experienced rail fencing and vegetation management supervisor to oversee teams across the London rail network. You will lead fencing and vegetation crews within a live rail environment and assist in planning busy work schedules.

A UK driving licence is essential, with LUL WCI and NWR PTS preferable; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Our client TFL is looking to recruit an experienced rail fencing and vegetation management supervisor for work across the London rail network. Successful candidates will have experience of leading fencing & vegetation management teams within a live rail environment and of helping plan busy work schedules.

Role and responsibilities will include:

• Health, Safety & Environmental – Promote a positive safety culture, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Planning - assist in a busy office with planning work banks, scheduling, resource allocation, ordering materials, plant, equipment and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance - ensuring adherence to relevant railway regulations and quality control procedures.
• Project Leadership – Oversee and manage teams to ensure all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Operational Support – Provide guidance to operatives, ensuring safe and efficient working practices.
• Reporting & Communication – Compile and submit activity reports, attend internal and client meetings and report key updates.

A UK driving licence essential, LUL WCI and NWR PTS would be preferable, but training will be provided for the right candidate
