Vegetable Crop Manager / Harvest Supervisor job - Scotland
We are seeking an experienced person to assist with all aspects of vegetable crop management from planting to harvest. Main crops are broccoli and cauliflower.
The Role
- Monitoring vegetable crops and ensuring best practices are followed across all field operations.
- Leading a team of harvest staff, and motivating them to achieve excellence in productivity and quality.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
What We're Looking For
- The ability to assess crops by walking the fields and forecast harvest times.
- Knowledge of broccoli and cauliflower crops and a willingness to learn.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
- Russian and/or Eastern European language competency would be an advantage but not essential; however, the ability to communicate well with seasonal workers is important.
- A driving licence is required and ideally some tractor driving experience.
