We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Design Office. Responsibilities include designing and developing mechanical components, tools, and jigs related to Gearbox, Hydraulic, and Exhaust systems, from initial layouts to detailed parts. You will also play a key role in improving design workflows and mentoring junior engineers.

Lead the mechanical design process from concept to detailed design, ensuring innovative and high-performance solutions.

Ensure all parts comply with FIA Formula 1 Technical Regulations.

Develop lightweight, reliable, and aerodynamically efficient mechanical components.

Collaborate with relevant departments to oversee the reliability of designed parts.

Stay updated with advancements in materials science, manufacturing technologies, and motorsport industry standards.

Team and Technical Guidance

Serve as the technical reference within the group for task guidance.

Mentor and support junior mechanical design engineers.

Review and approve final design releases as needed.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the design function.

Professionalism and Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with the Mechanical Design Team Leader and Deputy to meet project timelines and performance goals.

Collaborate with Aerodynamics, Concept, Trackside Operations, and other engineering teams for seamless integration.

Maintain strong communication with all internal departments.

Liaise with suppliers and external partners for high-quality materials and components.

Support race and track events from the Factory Operation Room as required.

Maintain flexibility in attendance and work attitude based on project needs.

Experience Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical design within high-performance motorsport, preferably F1.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
  • Experience with moulds, patterns, and tooling design is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Innovative mindset and proactive attitude.
  • Team-oriented with a positive, adaptable approach.
