We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Car Systems Design engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for completing the design of engine systems, fuel system, gearbox cooling system, and integration of these into the whole car package. You will contribute to concept through detailed design, supporting documentation, and problem resolution for specific components assigned.

Mechanical Design

Working under the guidance of the team leader, support design work with concept and aerodynamic departments to maximize car systems impact on overall car performance. Ensure all design work is fit for purpose and maintain ownership of the quality of parts designed. Complete detailed design of car systems components and installations according to planned deadlines. Communicate clearly with team members and support meeting targets. Maintain good relationships with other departments. Contribute ideas for car performance improvement and highlight potential issues. Keep up-to-date with latest technical developments applicable. Ensure designs are released on time and meet specifications.

Professionalism

Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, in line with role requirements and project specifics. Work professionally at all times, promoting a positive image for the department, team, and sponsors.

Experience
  • Qualified to at least bachelor degree level in an Engineering Discipline.
