We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Car Systems Design engineer. In this role you will be responsible for completing the design of engine systems, fuel system, gearbox cooling system, and integration of these into the whole car package. For the specific components assigned, you will be responsible for contributing to concept through detailed design, supporting documentation, and problem resolution.

Mechanical Design

Working under guidance of the team leader, support design work with concept and aerodynamic departments to maximize car systems impact on overall car performance.

Ensure all design work is fit for purpose and take ownership of the quality of parts designed.

Complete detailed design of car systems components and installations assigned on target according to planned deadlines.

Clearly communicate with members of the group in a timely manner and support everyone in meeting their targets.

Maintain and develop good relationships with other departments.

Contribute to car performance with ideas for improvement and highlight any potential issues seen.

Keep up-to-date with all latest technical developments which can be applied.

Ensure designs are released on target and to the agreed specifications.

Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects;

Work in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and be proactive in promoting a positive image for the department, team, and sponsors.
