We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Car Systems Design engineer. In this role you will be responsible forcompleting design of engine systems, fuel system, gearbox cooling system and integration of these into the whole car package. For the specific components assigned, you will be responsible for contributing to concept through detailed design, supporting documentation and problem resolution.

Mechanical Design

Working under guidance of team leader support design work with concept and aerodynamic departments to maximise car systems impact on overall car performance.

To endeavour that all design work is fit for purpose and take ownership for the quality of parts designed.

To complete detailed design of car systems components and installations assigned on target according to planned deadlines

To clearly communicate with members of the group in a timely manner and support everyone meeting their targets.

To maintain and develop good relationships with other departments.

To contribute to car performance with ideas for improvement and highlight any potential issues seen.

To keep up-to-date with all latest technical developments which can be applied.

Ensure designs are released on target and to agreed specification.

Professionalism

Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects;

To work in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and be pro-active in promoting a positive image for the department / team/ sponsors.

Experience

  • Qualified to at least bachelor degree level in an Engineering Discipline.
