We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Composite Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing F1 car composite parts, including layout studies, patterns, moulds, tools, and jigs. You will also work on improving design processes and mentoring less experienced designers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Studying and developing designs based on aerodynamic data and car layout, following guidelines from your line manager.
  • Ensuring designs meet deadlines and specifications.
  • Designing and detailing composite components such as front and rear wings, chassis, impact structures, and bodywork.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure reliability of designed parts.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed design documentation, including drawings and analysis reports.

Communication:

  • Working with materials, production, and R&D teams to select suitable composite materials based on performance and manufacturing needs.
  • Maintaining effective communication within and across teams.

Innovation and Professionalism:

  • Contributing ideas to improve car performance and identifying potential issues.
  • Staying updated with the latest technical developments applicable to your work.
  • Maintaining flexibility and a proactive attitude aligned with project requirements.
