The role involves improving design processes and mentoring junior designers.

Composite Design Responsibilities:
  • Conduct studies and schemes based on aerodynamic data and car layout, following guidelines.
  • Ensure timely release of designs meeting specifications.
  • Design and detail composite components such as front and rear wings, chassis, impact structures, and bodywork.
  • Collaborate with related departments to meet reliability requirements.
  • Create and maintain design documentation, drawings, and analysis reports.
Communication:
  • Work with materials, production, and R&D teams to select appropriate composite materials.
