Job summary

AJ Chambers, a Top 10 UK accountancy firm, is recruiting a VAT Senior Manager to join its growing London VAT team. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, delivering VAT compliance and advisory support while taking ownership of complex projects and developing long-term client relationships.

Key requirements include significant VAT experience, strong technical knowledge, and proven ability to develop juniors and win new work.

The role offers the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of business clients, providing VAT compliance and advisory support, while taking ownership of complex projects and developing long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of clients across VAT compliance and advisory
• Lead complex VAT consultancy and advisory projects
• Act as a trusted adviser, identifying wider commercial and strategic opportunities
• Develop existing client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work
• Manage, mentor and develop junior team members
• Support business development, networking and cross-referral opportunities
• Maintain high standards of technical and compliance quality
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm

• Significant VAT experience gained within practice or industry
• Strong technical VAT knowledge with experience handling complex matters
