Job summary

BDO UK LLP is seeking a VAT advisory professional based in the Manchester area to deliver VAT services across a broad client base. You will manage client portfolios, support bid opportunities, and work with the UK and international VAT network to address evolving tax issues.

The role emphasizes end-to-end project delivery, adherence to budgets, and robust quality control. The successful candidate will have strong people skills and be comfortable collaborating with senior managers and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing VAT services to a wide range of clients including household names, global multinationals and fast paced privately owned businesses.
• UK VAT experience/knowledge is essential.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients and developing targets to ensure growth, including control of billings and cash collection.
• End-to-end project delivery experience, ensuring assignments are completed on time and within budgets.
• Understanding of quality control procedures and risk management.
• People management experience.
• Ability to participate in new bids / proposals.
• Significant understanding of and previous experience within UK VAT.
• In-depth knowledge of recent key updates and areas of focus in VAT.
