An International Education Group is looking for a VAT Manager to join their team. This is a newly created role, reporting to the Head of Tax. You will be responsible for managing the group's compliance and advisory tax work. As the group expands into various international markets, the VAT Manager's role becomes more pivotal in ensuring compliance, strategy, controls, and processes are in place.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Dealing with enquiries and providing VAT-related advice
• Oversee VAT compliance and ensure finance strategy conforms to VAT legislation
• Investigate and stay informed of revised VAT legislation, advising internal and external stakeholders
• Minimize VAT tax charges
• Review VAT implications of group structure and advise subsidiaries
• Liaise with HMRC and manage stakeholders
• Provide guidance on indirect tax issues to staff, offering specialist VAT advice

Qualifications:

• Tax or accounting qualification - desirable
• Partial Exemption Special Method (PESM) - desirable
