Job Title: VAT Manager

Our client is a leading global professional services firm committed to delivering high-quality audit, tax, advisory, and consulting services.

Role Overview: As a VAT Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advising clients on VAT matters, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and identifying opportunities for VAT efficiency. You will lead engagements, mentor team members, and contribute to the development of their VAT service line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic VAT advice to a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
• Oversee and ensure VAT compliance for clients, including preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
• Identify and implement VAT planning opportunities to optimize client outcomes.
• Manage and develop relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for VAT matters.
• Liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients, handling audits and inquiries.
• Keep abreast of changes in VAT legislation and ensure clients are informed of the impact on their businesses.
• Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
• Collaborate with other departments and international offices to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, including preparing proposals and attending client pitches.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A professional qualification in accounting or tax (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in VAT advisory and compliance, ideally within a professional services or consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of local and international VAT regulations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, VAT compliance software).
