This role involves providing VAT advice to a portfolio of clients, including privately owned businesses and multinational companies. The successful candidate will have experience in UK VAT advisory and strong stakeholder management skills. The firm offers a competitive salary, with the potential for a bonus, and a hybrid work model of 2-3 days in the office per week.

Your new firm & role:

I’m currently working with a well established Top 10 Accountancy firm in Leeds who are looking to bring in a new VAT Manager or strong Assistant VAT Manager. You’ll play a key part of the VAT team, getting involved in a range of VAT & indirect tax advisory work.

You’ll be working on a portfolio of privately owned businesses and multinational companies, providing a range of UK and European VAT advice. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across the firm and also deal directly with HMRC on behalf of your clients.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• UK VAT advisory experience working with a varied client base
• CTA / ATT / ACA / ACCA (or qualified by experience)
• Portfolio management experience
• Knowledge and experience dealing with HMRC
• Strong HMRC experience will also be considered
• Strong stakeholder management skills
