VAT Manager: In house

A newly created role for a VAT Manager to join an established in-house team and assist with providing UK and international compliance support, deal with often complex VAT queries, and mentor more junior members in the team.

It’s a varied role and your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing the quarterly VAT return process
2. Providing advice on the VAT liability of the business transactions
3. Ensuring effective internal VAT compliance processes are applied
4. Managing year-end VAT partial exemption calculations
5. Taking lead on projects and managing outputs accordingly
6. Supporting the senior manager on various complex advisory projects
7. Coaching junior team members, including signing off their work

To apply, you will need at least 4 years of practical UK and International VAT experience – ideally a blend of compliance management and advisory experience. A good base of technical VAT knowledge and some prior people management experience will be key. The role can be predominantly remote with occasional travel (1-2 times a month) to London.
