  2. Coordinate internal teams and external advisors in preparing, reviewing, and submitting indirect tax returns for Group Companies and investment funds.
  3. Provide indirect tax advice, transaction support, and lead post-deal implementation actions on fund launches, M&A activities, and property transactions.
  4. Monitor and stay informed about changes to VAT and indirect tax legislation affecting the Group, advising on appropriate actions.
  5. Assist senior tax management in representing RLG's views at consultation meetings and industry groups.
  6. Collaborate with tax colleagues to follow guidelines and procedures, improve processes, mitigate risks, and add value.

About you

  1. Qualified accountant and/or qualified tax professional.
  2. Deep knowledge and experience of UK indirect tax legislation relevant to insurance companies and/or asset management businesses.
  3. Understanding of VAT partial exemption principles and the implementation of partial exemption methods.
  4. Ability to challenge procedures/controls, identify risks, and escalate issues to the Head of Tax and other relevant parties.
