VAT Director role - remote with some travel to London office.

What will the role involve?

As a VAT Director, you will take the lead on a range of responsibilities, including:

• Overseeing a team delivering tailored VAT consultancy services and aligning with the strategic goals of the tax division
• Conducting thorough technical research into complex VAT issues and presenting well-reasoned conclusions
• Drafting client-specific VAT advisory reports
• Reviewing technical advice produced by more junior colleagues
• Monitoring work-in-progress, billing, and identifying opportunities for commercial development
• Expanding the firm's presence through networking and new business activities

What are we looking for?

We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about tax and keen to grow their career. While the following experience is advantageous, we’re particularly interested in those who meet the minimum criteria and demonstrate strong potential:

• A solid background in VAT advisory services within an accounting or professional services environment (essential)
• Proven experience in managing and mentoring teams (essential)
• CTA qualification with a focus on indirect tax is desirable
• Ability to pinpoint VAT-related risks or opportunities and clearly explain your proposed solutions
• A genuine interest in the technical and academic side of VAT and taxation
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Confident in using IT systems, especially Excel
