VAT Associate Director – London | £100k–£110k + bonus + benefits | Hybrid

Radley Green is partnering with a fast-growing firm to recruit a VAT Associate Director into its high-performing London team.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Tax, you will lead and grow a small VAT team, expand advisory services, and play a key role in driving commercial success. The role also offers great promotion opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the VAT service line: manage risk, ensure compliance, and set robust processes.
  • Drive growth by identifying opportunities, winning new business, and leading on VAT project work.
  • Build strong cross-departmental and client relationships across the London office and wider group.
  • Oversee VAT proposals, engagement letters, and review complex VAT returns.
  • Manage client portfolios including WIP, billing, and delivery of high-quality service.
  • Develop, mentor, and appraise team members, ensuring continuous training and CPD progress.
  • Collaborate with global service providers to deliver timely international VAT advice.
About You
  • CTA/ACCA/ICAEW qualified with 5+ years’ PQE and proven management experience.
  • Strong technical UK VAT expertise, with exposure to international VAT advantageous.
  • Track record of business development and delivering against commercial targets.
  • Excellent client service, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives under pressure and fosters a positive culture.
