Job summary

Teneo is seeking a Consultant / Senior Consultant in VAT, Tax Advisory and Compliance to join its UK restructuring tax team. The role focuses on advisory and compliance across a broad spectrum of business sectors, supporting insolvency practitioners and clients during complex restructurings.

You will engage with HMRC and internal teams, contribute to business development, and participate in technical training.

Qualifications

• Strong UK VAT technical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advise insolvency practitioners on VAT consequences of actions during insolvency.
• Advise companies, lenders and stakeholders on VAT implications of complex restructurings.
• Liaise with HMRC on technical and compliance queries for insolvency appointments.
• Respond to day-to-day VAT queries from restructuring business units.
• Prepare VAT reports and ensure correct returns are submitted.
