Job summary

A leading Top 10 UK accountancy practice is seeking a VAT Manager to join an established Indirect Tax team. This advisory-focused role offers exposure to a broad range of VAT issues, interesting client work and collaboration with Senior Managers, Directors and Partners.

You'll work across a diverse client portfolio, delivering practical VAT advice and taking increasing ownership of advisory engagements. The role combines technical work, client interaction and team development, with a clear path

Qualifications

• UK VAT/Indirect Tax experience gained in practice, advisory or in-house.
• Experience delivering VAT advisory projects and liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver VAT advisory work across a varied client portfolio with practical, commercial advice.
• Support on complex VAT matters, applying UK legislation and case law to real-world scenarios.
• Manage VAT engagements from scoping through delivery, ensuring technical accuracy and commercial relevance.
• Draft clear, structured technical advice and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Build strong client relationships and act as day-to-day contact across engagements.
• Help develop junior team members through technical guidance and coaching.
• Collaborate with Senior Managers, Directors and Partners on larger advisory projects.
• Identify opportunities to broaden client relationships and contribute to practice growth.
