Job summary

PRO TAX is seeking a VAT Manager in Birmingham to lead a varied VAT advisory portfolio for corporate clients within a growing indirect tax team. You will manage engagements from start to finish, including exposure to transactions, restructures and HMRC interactions, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the firm’s growth.

Qualifications

• Strong UK VAT experience, ideally gained within practice or professional services.
• Experience managing VAT advisory projects and client engagements.
• Technical knowledge across a broad range of VAT matters.
• Experience supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and disclosures.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a varied portfolio of VAT advisory engagements for corporate clients.
• Work on corporate transactions, restructures and VAT disclosures.
• Provide VAT process reviews and advisory support on complex matters.
• Develop junior team members and contribute to practice growth.
• Own client relationships and manage projects end-to-end.
