Job summary

GSK is seeking a Clinical Development Senior Medical Director to lead cardiovascular medicine programs within the RIIRU. You will shape translational and clinical plans, drive study designs, and oversee medical governance across early and later phase studies.

Qualifications

• Medical degree required with board registration or eligibility in cardiovascular medicine.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research and development.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Preferred PhD in addition to medical degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead translational and clinical plans and study designs with project strategies for CDP.
• Generate data to determine target efficacy, safety, and differentiation.
• Define clinical pillars of the translational table with timelines and endpoints.
• Establish relationships with biology, translational sciences, regulatory, and commercial teams.
• Provide medical monitoring and oversee safety; ensure scientific integrity and governance.
• Lead clinical development strategy and study design across all phases.
• Influence cross-functional teams and contribute to regulatory and BD discussions.
