Job summary

Bimplus is recruiting a Fire & Security Engineer in Greater Manchester. You will install, service and maintain fire and security systems across multiple disciplines, with travel to customer sites as required. The role offers development across various technologies and exposure to different installations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with fire alarms and security systems, strong fault-finding skills and knowledge of BS 5839. A practical, independent, on-site approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire and security systems.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards (BS 5839).
• Experience with fire alarms and/or security systems.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining fire alarm and detection systems.
• Working on fire suppression systems.
• Installing, maintaining and fault finding security systems.
• Working with CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems.
• Carrying out inspections, testing and compliance checks.
• Diagnosing faults and providing technical solutions.
• Ensuring systems operate correctly and to standards.
• Travelling to customer sites across the region.
