Job summary

A leading further education provider in Bromley is seeking an experienced Sport & Public Services lecturer to teach students from Level 1 to Level 3. You will collaborate with the Curriculum Manager and play a pivotal role in promoting courses. The ideal candidate has teaching experience, strong communication skills, and relevant industry backgrounds. This position offers various benefits and is anticipated to commence in September 2025.

Job description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sport & Public Services lecturer to join our team. You will be teaching students of varying abilities—from Level 1 to Level 3 Sport & Public Services. You will work closely with the Curriculum Manager on the expansion and development of the department, helping us to deliver the highest quality education for every student. With your industry experience, you will help inspire the next generation of skilled professionals and support people from all backgrounds to achieve their career and life ambitions. You will also play a key role in promoting the courses across the Sport & Public Services curriculum area, taking part in marketing events and sharing your experiences in Sport &/or Public Services.

Notes: There is no fixed closing date; the role will close when there are sufficient applicants to interview. The role is anticipated to commence in September 2025.

Skills and Experience

For this role, you will need proven experience in teaching and/or relevant industry experience. You will have achieved a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent) and be a qualified FE teacher (or be willing to work towards this). You will need strong communication skills to articulate clearly and confidently to class groups, in an engaging way, and efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping.
