Job summary

Dudley College of Technology is looking for a Variable Hours Technician in Animal Studies to help care for a diverse collection of animals in our new facilities at Dudley. You will organise and carry out routine care and welfare checks, and support learning activities with students.

The role requires prior experience with animals and a relevant qualification; the job includes out-of-hours work on weekends and bank holidays. Closing date 27 September 2026.

Variable Hours Technician – Animal Studies

£13.48 per hour

We are looking to recruit variable hours Animal Studies Technicians for our brand-new Animal Studies facility. The unit comprises of multiple rooms housing a wide range of small mammals, exotic mammals, aquatics, reptiles, herptiles and insects.

You will be responsible for organising and carrying out routine care of our animals and their brand-new facilities and ensuring a high degree of animal welfare, this role will involve out of hours work including weekend and bank holidays.

The successful applicant will have previous experience of working with animals and a related qualification.
