Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking an experienced Van Technician to join a busy workshop in the UK. The role focuses on servicing, diagnostics and repairs on light commercial vehicles, handling mechanical and electrical systems to high standards.

You will work across servicing, fault finding and repair tasks, using modern diagnostic tools, while maintaining safety and quality. Overtime is paid at Time and a Half and a strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair such as City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent.
• Experience as a Van Technician, LCV Technician, Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Strong servicing and repair background in vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining light commercial vehicles to a high standard.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Carrying out repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
• Completing scheduled safety inspections.
• Identifying and reporting any additional repair work required.
• Repairing and replacing vehicle parts and components.
• Following repairs through from initial diagnosis to completion.
• Completing job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
• Working within allocated repair times while maintaining high standards.
• Supporting other technicians within the workshop when required.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
