Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants Ltd in Maesteg is seeking an experienced Van Driver/Relief LGV Driver to support branch deliveries and LGV duties when required. You will also assist in yard and warehouse tasks to maintain high service standards.

The role requires a valid LGV Class 2 licence, CPC/Hiab experience preferred, and a strong focus on safety and customer service. A flexible, team-oriented approach and professional appearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV Class 2 driving licence is required.
• Up-to-date CPC and Hiab experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team player with a flexible, hands-on attitude.
• Forklift licence is desirable; training can be provided.
• Commitment to health and safety and following procedures.
• Smart, professional appearance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and maintain records.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload goods.
• Deliver products to customer sites in a professional, timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, roadworthy vehicle at all times.
• Assist with preparing deliveries, picking orders and stock management.
• Support yard and warehouse operations when not driving.
• Provide a high standard of customer service during deliveries.
