Job summary

Total Plumbing in Maesteg is hiring a Van Driver / Relief LGV Driver to support branch deliveries and yard operations. You will carry out daily vehicle checks, load and unload goods, and ensure on‑time, courteous service to customers.

This full‑time, permanent role is 40.75 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 7:30am–4:30pm with occasional Saturday mornings. A valid LGV Class 2 licence is required; CPC and Hiab experience are advantageous, and a forklift licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• A valid LGV Class 2 driving licence.
• CPC and Hiab experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and maintain records.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload goods.
• Deliver products to customer sites in a professional, timely, courteous manner.
• Maintain a clean, roadworthy, presentable vehicle at all times.
• Assist with preparing deliveries, picking orders, and managing stock.
• Support yard and warehouse operations when not driving.
• Provide a high standard of customer service during deliveries.
• Safely operate company vehicles and carry out daily inspections.
• Secure loads with tarpaulins and cranes; operate Hi-Ab crane when covering LGV duties.
