Berry Recruitment is actively seeking a temporary full-time van driver who is also prepared to undertake workshop work. This position is for an approximate period of 2-3 months to cover sickness.
We require a candidate with workshop experience or the ability to handle basic mechanics, equipment cleaning, and preparation for rehire. The role involves being a workshop assistant/second driver. Skills in Ally TIG and mild steel MIG welding are highly beneficial, but some workshop or mechanical experience is essential. The candidate must be able to drive a 3.5t flatbed vehicle. A forklift license is ideally required, but evidence of forklift operation is acceptable. The workshop aspect of the business offers training opportunities for the right candidate who is willing to learn.
Pay will be based entirely on experience with driving, welding, and workshop tasks, and will be discussed at the interview.
The main responsibility will be delivering to clients across the East Anglia region, with the workshop role serving as a backup to the business.
Working hours are from 08:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday.
The work location is on the outskirts of Kings Lynn, so reliable transportation is essential.
Effective written and spoken communication skills are crucial, as the role involves significant customer interaction during deliveries.
