Job summary

IDrive Recruitment Ltd. is seeking reliable Van Drivers to work with clients across multiple industries. You will be responsible for safe and timely deliveries and collections, maintaining professional standards and customer service at all times.

A valid UK driving licence, good timekeeping and ability to follow instructions are essential. Some assignments may require flexible hours, handling goods and using a sat-nav. Training may be provided on some roles.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points).
• Safe driving record and road safety mindset.
• Previous van driving or delivery experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company van in accordance with road traffic laws and company policies.
• Deliver and collect goods, parcels, materials or equipment to and from designated locations.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and within the required timeframes.
• Load and unload goods safely, following manual handling procedures.
• Check delivery paperwork, manifests and items to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport office, client or line manager regarding progress, delays or any issues.
• Provide polite and professional customer service when dealing with customers and members of the public.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks before and after journeys and report any defects, damage or maintenance issues promptly.

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting reliable, hardworking and professional Van Drivers to work with our clients across various industries. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods, ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of professionalism at all times. This role is ideal for individuals who are punctual, organised, customer-focused and able to work independently while following company procedures and health and safety guidelines. Event Work, Christmas time will be very busy

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company van in accordance with road traffic laws and company policies.
• Deliver and collect goods, parcels, materials or equipment to and from designated locations.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and within the required timeframes.
• Load and unload goods safely, following manual handling procedures.
• Check delivery paperwork, manifests and items to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport office, client or line manager regarding progress, delays or any issues.
• Provide polite and professional customer service when dealing with customers and members of the public.
• Carry out basic vehicle checks before and after journeys and report any defects, damage or maintenance issues promptly.
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and in good working condition.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe loading, unloading and securing of goods.
• Report accidents, incidents, vehicle damage or delivery discrepancies immediately.
• Complete all required paperwork and electronic delivery records accurately.
• Represent the recruitment agency and its clients in a professional manner at all times.

What Is Expected of You

• UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points)

Working Hours and Conditions

Working hours may vary depending on the client and assignment. Some roles may involve early starts, weekend work, overtime, multiple delivery stops or working in different locations. Drivers must arrive on time, be ready to start their shift and follow the agreed schedule. Any absence, lateness or difficulty attending work must be reported to the recruitment agency as soon as possible.
