Overview

Driver Hire Newcastle & Sunderland are looking to recruit a number of chilled pharmaceutical van drivers for one of their most prestigious clients on an ongoing contract. Your typical working week will consist of working Monday to Saturday and the position has the potential of going permanent for the right candidate in the long term.

Responsibilities

You will be the face of this nationally recognized organization so excellent customer service and people skills are imperative. The role can also involve a moderate to high amount of manual handling when loading and unloading the pharmaceutical products from the van. Experience in temperature controlled vehicles would also be desirable. A driving assessment will be provided on arrival. On successful completion you will be provided with a full induction, followed by additional support and full training to ensure you\'re comfortable in the role.

Requirements

• Category B entitlement on the driving licence.
• No more than 3 points on your driving licence.
• Experience in delivering pharmaceutical products and driving temperature controlled vehicles is desirable but not essential.

Pay

The rate of pay is £12.25 per hour for the first 8 hours with the potential to pick up overtime which is paid at £14.00 per hour. Saturday is also paid at a rate of £14.00 per hour for the hours worked.
