Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking an enthusiastic Van Driver to join our team on a casual labour contract with flexible hours between 7.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings where applicable. This is an immediate start and interview discussions will cover the exact shift pattern.

You will load and unload building materials, deliver to customers in a friendly, professional manner, and uphold safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to provide great customer service and hold a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials using the branch van and be responsible for loading and unloading the vehicle safely.
• Provide a punctual and professional delivery service to customers.
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment and follow safety protocols.

How Important Is This Role To The Business

Joining our friendly and hard working family as a Van Driver, you will be on the front line dealing with our customers and providing a punctual and professional delivery service.

What will I be doing?

No one day is the same as the next in TP branch life, but here are a few pointers:

• Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
• You will deliver building materials by using the branch van, being responsible for loading and unloading the vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry, full training is provided
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment ensuring social distancing is maintained at all times.

What skills do you need?

This is a key customer facing role, you just need the ability to provide great customer service and hold a full UK driving license.
