Job description

We are currently recruiting Driver Mates in Carlisle to support a busy delivery operation. This is an ad-hoc role, so your working days may vary between 1 to 5 days a week, depending on delivery schedules. Days of work will fall between Tuesday and Saturday, with immediate starts available.

What the Role Involves

• Assisting drivers with the delivery of large and heavy items, such as white goods
• Heavy lifting and manual handling as part of daily duties
• Providing excellent customer service at each drop-off
• Accurately managing delivery paperwork and logs
• Working flexibly based on delivery volumes and business needs

What We\'re Looking For

• Must have reliable transport to get to site as location is not on a public transport route
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• A positive attitude and a team player
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail with paperwork
• Ability to work on short notice and adapt to a flexible schedule
• Clean criminal record is essential due to the nature of the role
