The Role Overview
Join Lawsons as a Van Driver and be a vital part of delivering our exceptional services and products to customers. You will play a crucial role in the logistics team, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while upholding the company's commitment to outstanding customer service.
Branch Location -Englemere sawmill, London Rd, Winkfield Row, Ascot, SL5 8DG
Working Hours
The role includes a 44.5-hour work week, from Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16.30, and every second Saturday from 08:00 - 12:00.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and timely delivery of products to customers across designated routes.
- Maintain and check the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy and meets all safety regulations.
- Assist in loading and unloading items, ensuring the correct products are delivered to the correct addresses.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Accurately complete and manage delivery logs and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide excellent service.
- Drive in accordance with the law, safely and courteously
- Comply with current legislation
- Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensuring Lawsons Best Practise, Standards and Company Policies are met
- Proactively contribute by seeking out potential company sales
- Be vigilant to prevent loss or damage of product and vehicle
- Be vigilant and report and Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately
Skills and Qualifications
- Afull valid category B driving license (essential)
- Previous van driving experience working in a builder's merchants (essential)
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
- Ability to handle goods carefully to prevent damage.
