Job description

The post holder will be responsible for the collection of the screening van and driving/delivery of the van to agreed sites across Sheffield. They will ensure stock, resources, and equipment are maintained for each outreach session and secured afterward. They will register patient details using the Inform software and collect screening attendance information.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collecting the screening van from RHH site and transporting it to agreed sites across Sheffield based on the planned screening rota, returning to base at the end of each session. Some events may occur outside of office hours.
  2. Ensuring the van is stocked with relevant consumables, resources, and equipment, including blood taking supplies, swabbing materials, and PPE.
  3. Securing and returning consumables, resources, and equipment after each session.
  4. Providing clerical support to the Sexual Health Screening team, including registering patients on the Inform system, recording safeguarding information, and collecting attendance data.
  5. Supporting the setup and cleanup of clinical areas before and after activities, and maintaining a safe clinical environment.
  6. Collecting and delivering samples to RHH site for processing.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed-term contract basis for 18 months (until 31/03/2027) as part of a limited-term project within the Trust. The contract's fixed-term status will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations, considering the project's requirements and timescales.
