Job summary

The Best Connection Melksham are looking for reliable 3.5t drivers to join our Radstock based client's driving team. You will be working any 5 days between Monday and Saturday, with early 6am starts and the opportunity to work with a friendly & supportive team.

Using a hand-held scanner and a route planner, you will be making timely deliveries of caged or palletised goods to retail sites, events and festival sites around the South and South-West.

Qualifications

• Valid Van (Cat B) licence.
• 6 months Commercial driving experience.
• Good level of fitness (heavy lifting possible).
• Proficient in using PDAs and Sat-Navs.
• Experience in timed deliveries essential.

Responsibilities

• Make timely deliveries of caged or palletised goods to retail sites, events and festival sites.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service.

Skills

Valid Cat B licence

6 months driving experience

• £13.25 per hour
• OR £17.00 ph if with an approved Umbrella Company
• 5 day shifts between Monday and Saturday
• Immediate start

Using a hand-held scanner and a route planner, you will be making timely deliveries of caged or palletised goods to retail sites, events and festival sites around the South and South-West. You will also be performing daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects and maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Requirements

• A valid Van (Cat B) licence
• 6 months Commercial driving experience
• A good level of fitness (as some heavy lifting)
• Proficient in using technical aids such as PDA's and Sat-Navs
• Experience in making timed delivieries essential
• A right to work in the UK
