Van Delivery Driver (3.5T) - Halifax

£14.16 per hour (PAYE) + Holiday Pay | Temp to Perm Opportunity

SWIFT Temps Ltd - Driving Recruitment Division - are recruiting for an experienced 3.5T Van Delivery Driver to join our client's busy and friendly delivery team based in Halifax.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused driver to secure ongoing work, with the potential of a permanent position.

Role

As a Delivery Driver, you'll play a vital role in providing a high-quality home delivery service, ensuring customers receive their furniture on time and in perfect condition. Working alongside a driver's mate, you'll represent the brand with professionalism and provide an exceptional service every step of the way.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a 3.5T van on multi-drop delivery routes
• Delivering and installing items such as mattresses, beds, and furniture with the support of a team member
• Assembling bedroom furniture in customers' homes (full training provided)
• Providing excellent customer service and building positive rapport with every delivery
• Assisting in the warehouse when required
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to company standards

What We're Looking For

• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Minimum 1 year of 3.5T van driving experience (essential)
• Previous home delivery experience (advantageous)
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting (mattresses, beds, furniture)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Friendly, reliable, and committed to going the extra mile

Working Hours & Pay

• Standard week: 38.75 hours
• Shifts: 6:45am - 3:45pm (excluding breaks)
• Saturday work on a rota basis (with a weekday off in lieu)
• No Sunday work
• Pay: £14.16 per hour PAYE + holiday pay

This is initially a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
