Job description

As a Van Driver for our client, you will carry out deliveries on behalf of the company in a safe, timely and efficient manner as required by the business. As a representative of the company, you will be required to possess a positive, can-do attitude and build good working relationships with both customers and the in-house team.

Driver Responsibilities
  1. To conduct daily vehicle checks.
  2. To ensure your vehicle is loaded with the correct product and that the load is restrained/strapped and safe to drive.
  3. To deliver the goods in order where needed and complete delivery confirmations.
  4. To always maintain contact with customers regarding delivery time.
  5. To report any issues on site back to the branch.
  6. To drive in accordance with the law, our Transport Policies and Procedures and current legislation.
  7. To ensure all work is in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Company.
Health, Safety & Environment
  1. To work in accordance with environmental and health and safety regulations, and ensure the Health and Safety of all staff, including reporting environmental and health and safety near misses and accidents.
  2. To comply with the Company Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Policies and objectives in every aspect of own work.
Job Requirements
  1. Current driving licence, maximum of 6 points.
  2. A good level of fitness to be able to complete the physical work required.
  3. Ability to follow clear instructions from Supervisors, Managers and Directors.
  4. Ability to drive safely and be trustworthy and reliable.
  5. Excellent customer service skills to help promote a professional image of the company at all times.
  6. Ability to work as part of a professional team.
  7. Basic numeracy and literacy essential.
  8. Good communication skills.
