Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester is seeking a reliable Van Driver to join our furniture delivery team in Livingston. You will deliver flat-pack furniture to customers along with a 2nd man, load/unload, and keep the vehicle safe and tidy.

Requirements include a Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points, good navigation skills, fitness for heavy lifting, and a team spirit. You must be over 24 for insurance.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Drivers to join our clients furniture delivery team. This role involves delivering flat-pack furniture directly to customers’ homes, working alongside a dedicated 2nd Manto complete deliveries safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a company van to deliver flat-pack furniture to residential addresses.
• Working closely with a 2nd man to load, unload and deliver items into customers’ homes.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and maintaining a clean, roadworthy vehicle.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Good geographical knowledge and ability to use navigation systems.
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting on a daily basis.
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• For insurance purposes you will be over 24 years old

Working Pattern

You will work one of the following schedules:

• Sunday to Wednesday
• Wednesday to Saturday
• Split week: Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday

Hours will be discussed at interview.

1-hour unpaid lunch break provided each working day.
