Job summary

Drive Hire Lincoln are recruiting for van drivers to work for a client in the Gainsborough area. This is a long term position with the possibility to go full time via a temp to perm.

The successful applicant will start at 06:30 and work Monday to Saturday, minimum 8 hours per day, with Saturdays on an hours-worked basis (half day). The role involves delivering 40–50 drops of pharmaceutical goods to the DN21 postcode area.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat B licence.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Own transport is preferred.
• Commercial driving experience is welcome but not essential.

Job description

Drive Hire Lincoln are recruiting for van drivers to work for a client in the Gainsborough area.

This is a long term position with the possibility to go full time with our client via a temp to perm. The successful applicant will be required to start at 06:30 and to work Monday to Saturday, minimum 8 hours per day, with the exception of Saturday which is on a hours worked basis (half day). The role will involve delivering 40-50 drops of pharmaceutical goods to business locally to the Dn21 postcode area. The professional driver must be physically able and prepared to lift up to 25kg.

As part of the training for the role there is an unpaid induction, including driver assessments and company driver competency assessments. This is expected to last around 4 hours.

The successful applicant will possess:

• Valid cat B driving licence
• Personal transport
• Hi vis and safety boots
• 'can do' attitude

Commercial driving experience is preferred, but not essential.

For the first 13 weeks the pay rate of the professional van driver will be £12.80 for the first 8 hours, and £15.36 for overtime after 8 hours and Saturdays. Upon the 13th week the hourly rate for the professional van driver will increase to a minimum of £14.88, for the first 8 hours, and £19.80 overtime. The successful applicant will be engaged on a PAYE basis.
