Van Driver & Warehouse Operative – Colchester

£12.21 per hour | Weekly Pay | Temp to Perm | Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

We are currently seeking a committed and hard-working Van Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our client's fast-paced distribution team based in Colchester. This is a temp to perm position offering long-term security for the right candidate, with full training provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road but is also comfortable working in a warehouse environment. You'll play a key role in both the delivery and dispatch operations, ensuring that goods are picked, packed, loaded, and delivered on time and in excellent condition.

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (paid weekly, every Friday)

Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Start Date: Immediate starts available

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:30
• Every other Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00
• Between 40–44 hours per week
  
  

Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties:

• Delivering automotive parts (including brake pads, brake discs, batteries, nuts, bolts, and similar items) to customers and trade clients around the Colchester area
• Planning and completing daily delivery routes in a timely and efficient manner
• Providing excellent customer service at the point of delivery
• Conducting vehicle checks and ensuring your van is clean, safe, and roadworthy
  
  

Warehouse Duties

• Picking and packing customer orders using handheld scanners
• Labelling and preparing stock for dispatch
• Loading your own van with accuracy and care
• General housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  
  

What We're Looking For

• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Previous experience in a driving and/or warehouse role is desirable
• Good level of physical fitness – some heavy lifting may be required
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A positive, can-do attitude and excellent timekeeping
