Overview

Ashton Recruitment are seeking a Van Driver for our client based in Mallusk to assist with collections of parcels.

You will be required to collect parcels from our customers as per the route provided within the timeframe stated, communicating any potentially failed collections, and ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately and completely.

Duration: Temporary ongoing

Rate of Pay: £12.40 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 11.30am to 7pm

Duties

• To ensure collections are completed in a timely fashion and meet company standards
• Providing an exceptional level of customer service
• Manual handling of goods and materials
• General maintenance / housekeeping of working areas
• Management of collections paperwork
• Assist with offloading collections vans with a high level of attention to detail when scanning and segregating parcels
• Highlight any collections that are going to be late and the reason for the delay to the operations team and pass on any queries
• Keep your vehicle clean and presentable at all times
• Perform general vehicle maintenance and report any defects

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience as a van driver working to targets
• Full UK driving licence (must have minimum 2 years clean licence)
• Reliable and punctual, with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication & customer service skills
• Ability to co-operate successfully with fellow staff at all levels
• Good knowledge of the local area and road networks
