REQ ID: 129172
JOB TITLE: Value Flow Manager
SALARY: £55,000 - £75,000

POSTING START DATE: 16.06.2025
POSTING END DATE: 29.06.2025
LOCATION: Solihull

Industrial Operations is where we add value to our modern luxury ethos. Whether in Procurement, sourcing vital products and services, or Supply Chain, managing Logistics Operations and Fulfilment, you will ensure seamless operations for our iconic vehicles across our global footprint while prioritising sustainable initiatives. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll be part of how we drive efficiencies and implement industry-leading practices. Help us create the exceptional.

As Value Flow Manager, you will focus on optimising the heartbeat of manufacturing takt, and its interdependencies, across the overall JLR value chain.

You will be responsible for identifying and driving transformational initiatives that could help level and stabilise production. You will look to enhance flow, reduce waste, mitigate bottlenecks and ultimately improve logistics performance at JLR plants both in the UK and abroad.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The role combines in-depth knowledge of Manufacturing, Intra-logistics and Supply Chain operations with cross-functional collaboration to align strategies to achieve our enterprise goals.

Here is what to expect:

• You will understand, map and measure the production flow process, with a goal of seamless integration from start to finish, starting with the customer demand all the way through the value stream
• Support creation of new factory facilities by helping to calculate and provide data to run simulations which will ensure optimal flow and buffers through and between business units: Stampings, Body, Paint, Trim and Logistics
• Implement strategies for production levelling and demand-driven systems to optimise build rates, inter-process buffers and inventory
• Create Standards for intra-plant Production Scheduling and Inventory planning practices with inputs from all our Global In-plant teams, ensuring they align to other Industrial Operations functions
• Apply Lean principles and tools, such as Value Stream Mapping and Simulation, to streamline production scheduling, factory layouts, and logistics flows
• Conduct detailed analysis to identify inefficiencies across the value chain impacting intra-logistics and production
• Develop mitigation strategies for recurring issues such as production delays, material delivery disruptions, and quality concerns

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

• A Subject Matter Expert level understanding of production control, manufacturing processes, intra-logistics and Supply Chain, in complex systems e.g. automotive or other manufacturing
• Exceptional analytical skills, using tools such as Tableau and Power BI, for impact assessment, performance measurement and predictions
• Ability to identify and provide data to run simulations to calculate optimal flow
• Proficiency in Lean tools and methodologies to drive factory optimisation, especially Value Stream Mapping
• Excellent presentation skills to communicate complex issues and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Facilitate cross-functional engagement to prioritise actions, allocate resources, and implement solutions effectively
• Ability to manage teams of both direct and non-direct individuals to achieve your goals

Creating Modern Luxury requires a modern approach to work. At JLR, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work. Some roles require more on-site work, but details of this can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview stage.

We work hard to nurture a culture that is inclusive and welcoming to all. We understand candidates may require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process. Please discuss these with your recruiter so we can accommodate your needs.

Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome. If you’re unsure that you meet the full criteria of a role – but you're interested in where it could take you – we still encourage you to apply. We believe in people's ability to grow and develop within their role – it’s what makes living the exceptional with soul possible.

JLR is committed to equal opportunity for all.
