Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking a diligent valuation professional to support deals and advisory work. You will conduct market and transaction research, build robust financial models, and translate numbers into clear insights for clients and internal teams.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication. You will manage multiple projects, work both independently and with the team, and contribute to improving valuation methodologies

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CFA (or equivalent) – previous experience in Audit is beneficial
• A strong interest in developing a career in Deals / M&A combined and exposure to valuation methodologies and financial modelling is advantageous
• Well-developed analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client service
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Time management skills, with ability to prioritise competing project deadlines

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research on industries, comparable companies and transactions to inform valuation processes
• Develop and maintain robust financial models and perform detailed analysis to support valuations
• Interpret financial statements and relevant financial data to construct meaningful conclusions and recommendations
• Effectively communicate valuation analysis and results to clients and internal teams
• Contribute to the analysis of comparable transactions and quoted companies
• Apply research and analysis to appraise business plans and assess risk & reward
• Attend site visits and meet management teams to better understand clients and business
• Prepare first draft valuations and present internally
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and client expectations
• Collaborate with team members to develop new approaches and improvement strategies
