Development Engineer - Engine Validation

Location: Stafford

Rate: £33.41 ph PAYE inc pension and holiday

Duration: 12 months +

RHL Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a global leader in off-highway engine development to find a Development Engineer - Engine Validation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to full engine validation projects, from planning and testing to data analysis and reporting, as new products head into production.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Plan and execute full diesel engine validation activities

  • Analyse test data using CANape, CANcase, Signalyzer, etc.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem resolution

  • Produce detailed technical reports and communicate findings clearly

  • Engage with global engineering teams on new product programs



Your Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 3+ years' experience in engine development (diesel, petrol, or gas)

  • Strong knowledge of validation planning and execution

  • Skilled in root cause analysis and fault investigation

  • Excellent communication and technical report writing

  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools

Desirable:

  • Experience in the automotive, aerospace, or off-highway machinery sectors

  • Understanding of component validation processes

  • Diesel engine system knowledge

  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., CANape, CANcase, Signalyzer)

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
