Job description

The Peninsula London is delighted to announce that we are seeking a Valet Attendant (Marker) who will report to the Wardrobe Supervisor within the laundry department. This position supports laundry operations involving hotel linen, guest laundry markings, residents, and colleagues’ laundry, with follow-up both internally and with external providers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate hotel linen, guest, and staff laundry with internal and external service providers, ensuring proper follow-up on all job orders regarding process, quality, discrepancies, and defects.
  2. Maintain accurate records of all laundry services, perform daily checks on uniforms, linen, and guest laundry, utilizing RFID inventory to prevent discrepancies, with a focus on quality.
  3. Manage wash cycles appropriately and notify supervisors of any issues related to fabric discoloration, feel, quality, or errors in guest/colleague laundry.
  4. Assist in maintaining a clean laundry area and ensure machines are cleaned at the end of each shift.
  5. Support the wardrobe supervisor with monthly inventories of uniforms, chemicals, machines, and supplies, and help control departmental expenses.

General Requirements

  1. Experience in laundry operations, including high-quality fabric/linen handling and/or dry cleaning.
  2. A passion for luxury hotel service with excellent communication skills.
  3. Strong time management, organization, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible.
