Position Overview:
The Valet 1 is responsible for the professional, safe, and efficient parking and retrieval of vehicles on behalf of the clients guests, staff, or visitors. The role contributes to the first and last impression of the clients service experience, especially in high-end accommodations, executive offices, hospitals, and event venues.

Greet arriving guests, staff, or visitors with courtesy, assisting with doors and luggage as needed.
Drive, park, and retrieve vehicles in a safe, responsible, and timely manner.
Operate a variety of vehicles including manual and automatic transmissions, 2WD/4WD, SUVs, and luxury sedans.
Maintain an organized valet parking log with vehicle tags, license plates, and parking locations.
Provide directions or basic facility information to guests upon arrival.
Communicate clearly with front desk, reception, and security personnel to coordinate parking flow.
Perform minor vehicle inspections to note existing damage or concerns prior to handling.
Ensure keys are secured and accounted for in the valet system.
Keep the driveway, entryway, and valet stand clean, professional, and free of obstruction.
Assist during peak hours, functions, or VIP arrivals to maintain smooth traffic operations.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including defensive driving, pedestrian safety, and emergency response.
Perform basic porter or messenger duties when parking demand is low.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certifications:
KCSE certificate minimum.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Defensive Driving Certification is an added advantage.
Basic First Aid or Fire Safety Training is a plus.
Experience:
12 years experience in valet parking, security, or logistics preferred.
Prior experience working in hotels, hospitals, high-rise buildings, or event venues desirable.
Familiarity with luxury or high-value vehicles is an asset.
Skills:
Excellent driving skills and road awareness.
Calm and professional under pressure.
Good interpersonal skills; able to handle guests with discretion and respect.
Organized, punctual, and presentable.
Able to operate handheld radios or valet software systems.
Basic knowledge of vehicle features (ignition, parking assist, alarms, etc.).
Other Requirements:
Physically fit; able to stand, walk, and jog for long periods.
Must be willing to work evening shifts, weekends, or during high-traffic events.
Honest, dependable, and able to handle luxury property responsibly.
