Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Clevedon is seeking Test Engineers on a contract basis to support testing, validation and fault-finding of advanced vacuum systems and equipment. You will ensure products meet required quality and performance standards before customer delivery.

Working with engineering, manufacturing and production teams, you will help with new product introduction, continuous improvement and maintain high standards of quality and reliability through precise testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering test, manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with fault finding and problem solving.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to analyse technical information and test results.

Responsibilities

• Carry out functional and performance testing of vacuum systems and assemblies.
• Set up and operate test equipment, instrumentation and measurement systems.
• Perform fault finding and diagnose mechanical, electrical and system issues.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Record, analyse and report test results accurately.
• Complete test procedures and documentation in line with company standards.
• Support product validation and qualification activities.
• Identify root causes of failures and support corrective actions.
• Assist with improvements to test methods, processes and equipment.
• Ensure products meet quality, safety and performance requirements.
• Support investigations into product issues and non-conformances.
