Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting Test Engineers on behalf of Edwards Vacuum, based in Clevedon. The role involves testing, validation and fault-finding of advanced vacuum systems and associated equipment to ensure quality before delivery.

You will work with engineering, manufacturing and production teams to support new product introduction and continuous improvement, whilst maintaining high standards of reliability and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an engineering test, manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out functional and performance testing of vacuum systems and assemblies.
• Set up and operate test equipment, instrumentation and measurement systems.
• Perform fault finding and diagnose mechanical, electrical and system issues.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Record, analyse and report test results accurately.
• Complete test procedures and documentation in line with company standards.
• Support product validation and qualification activities.
• Identify root causes of failures and support corrective actions.
• Assist with improvements to test methods, processes and equipment.
• Ensure products meet quality, safety and performance requirements.
• Support investigations into product issues and non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
