Job summary

The Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking Registered Nurses to join its community-based Health Protection Service, focusing on vaccination, immunisation and testing. You will work across a range of sites and some lone-working shifts to support housebound patients as part of our expanding Health Protection model.

You will contribute to population health protection, oversee health checks, and ensure patients are appropriately signposted within local pathways as part of CTM's Health

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
• Experience in vaccination/immunisation.
• Willingness to work flexibly across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

We offer a truly exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to join us in our newly established community based Health Protection Service. Working primarily in a vaccination & immunisation role you will also enjoy the benefits of gaining experience in our developing wider Health Protection model. These posts will be of interest to highly motivated nurses who can demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic commitment to population health protection. Successful applicants will work flexibly across the Health Board providing the highest standard of vaccination, immunisation and testing services to both our general public and also our staff who live and work in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.,

As one of our Vaccination & Immunisation/Health Protection Nurses you will undertake the administration of vaccinations, immunisations and testing in a wide variety of locations across the Health Board and including as a lone worker when required. Such settings will include all key health and Social Care sites; community vaccination and testing centres; a wide range of Primary Care and community clinic locations as well as Care Homes. We also offer a service to our housebound patients and clients.

Our programmes of work will target all population ages from our very youngest citizens right through to the young at heart. The overseeing of population health checks, ensuring patients are signposted according to local pathways along with duties aligned with the work of the overarching Health Protection function are all important elements of the role.
